Social entrepreneurship as the key to a healthier society
In 2012, Responsibility 2048 (responsibility2048.org) was founded in Israel to address today’s challenges and to prepare youth for an unknown future. It serves as the solution seed for Responcity.
Responsibility 2048:
- Reaches all segments of students – such as gifted,normative, special education and at-risk
- Teaches young students – Jewish, Arab, Druze, Bedouin, Muslim and Christian – to take responsibility in a rapidly changing, individualistic world
- Huge impact in Israel – 15,000 students | 500 projects in 67 municipalities | $6M value in teaching hours and teacher training
Following Responsibility 2048’s tremendous impact in Israel, we housed the educational program on a digital platform and founded Responcity with the goal of expanding globally.

The UN has compiled a list of 17 goals that they consider to be the blueprint towards achieving a more sustainable future for all.
GOAL 4 - Quality Education
Responcity’s unique online and offline educational program helps to achieve this goal by combining PBL education, real-life municipal innovation and civic engagement. This multifaceted solution enables youth to develop the skills and values required not only to succeed in society – but to make it a better place.
